$1.5M crypto scheme leads to 2-year prison term for ex-Coinbase manager

Former Coinbase product manager, Ishan Wahi, was sentenced to two years in prison for running a cryptocurrency insider trading scheme. He provided confidential information regarding planned Coinbase crypto asset listings to two accomplices, making profits of around $1.5 million. The US attorney for the Southern District of New York said that the sentence should send a strong message to the cryptocurrency market that laws apply to them.
