10 suspects, including 3 teenagers, arrested over banking-related malware scams
10 people aged between 16 and 28 have been arrested in Singapore for alleged involvement in banking-related malware scams that compromised Android devices to steal users’ banking credentials. Police are also working with four other individuals aged between 20 and 49. The authorities have warned against downloading apps from unknown sources, disclosing personal banking or Singpass credentials and involvement in illegal money-making activities.
