2.8m affected in Sav-Rx data breach

A US prescription management firm, Sav-Rx, has revealed a data breach that exposed the personal information of 2.8 million people. The firm discovered unauthorised access to its systems on 3 October 2023. Despite the intervention of third-party cybersecurity experts, non-clinical data was accessed. Sav-Rx has claimed the stolen information was destroyed and has enhanced its security protocols in response.
