5 systems back in the black in Q2

Despite high labor and operational costs, some nonprofit health systems have managed to reverse operating losses from Q2 2023. Five of these organizations include the Cleveland Clinic, UnityPoint Health, Bon Secours Mercy Health, Scripps Health, and Adena Health System. Improved revenues and operating incomes contributed to this financial turnaround. However, inflation and rising medical equipment and supplies costs continue to pose challenges.
