53% of hospital IoT devices have security vulnerabilities

More than half of hospital Internet of Things (IoT) devices possess critical cybersecurity vulnerabilities, according to a report from Cynerio. These vulnerabilities may endanger hospital data and patients who depend on IoT devices. The report found that a third of bedside IoT healthcare devices have a high-risk cybersecurity vulnerability, and that IV pumps, VoIP phones, ultrasounds, medicine dispensers, and IP cameras are among the high-risk devices.
