6 teens among 18 arrested for alleged involvement in bank malware scams
Eighteen individuals, a third of them teenagers, have been arrested, while another 13 are assisting with investigations, over their suspected involvement in banking-related malware scams in Singapore. The suspects had allegedly facilitated the scams by providing access to their bank accounts in exchange for money, resulting in unauthorised transactions from victims’ accounts, compromised initially via malware installed from non-official app stores.
