66% of Healthcare Organizations Say Patient Care was Disrupted by a Cyberattack

Healthcare data breaches are continuing at a high rate, with over 700 healthcare data breaches of over 500 records reported each year from 2021 to 2023. Most healthcare organisations surveyed reported an average of 40 attacks in the past year, at an average cost of $4.99 million per incident. These attacks often resulted in disruption to patient care, increased risk of complications, and increased patient mortality rates.
