At Denver Health, telehealth education and equipment help close equity gaps and boost engagement

Approximately one-third of older adults in the U.S. are not ready for telemedicine, often due to lack of experience with technology. To bridge this digital divide, Denver Health has partnered with Denver Housing Authority to provide educational workshops and on-site telehealth equipment for seniors in low-income housing units. Since the program’s initiation, online patient portal activation has increased from 58% to 63% among these communities.
