Belgium launches nationwide safe harbor for ethical hackers

Belgium has become the first European country to establish a national safe harbor framework for ethical hackers, announces the Centre for Cyber Security Belgium. The framework protects individuals or organisations from prosecution when they report security vulnerabilities. This mechanism’s conditions entail the vulnerable technology’s owner, the CCB, to be notified immediately, ensuring there is no fraudulent intent or intentions of harm, prohibition of public disclosure related to vulnerabilities without CCB’s permission.
