Harvard Pilgrim Health Care commercial and Medicare Advantage Stride plans have been affected by a ransomware attack, resulting in disruptions to care and a waiver of prior authorizations for most medical and behavioral health services. The parent company, Point32Health, is working to restore the affected systems and has not found evidence of compromised health information. Other health plans under Point32Health remain unaffected. Ransomware attacks have been a significant problem in the healthcare sector, leading to disruptions in healthcare delivery.
