Public Relations: How a Marketing & PR Platform Exposed Thousands of Users

Data from over half a million media contacts, business details and over 35k password hashes belonging to IP Software users was accidentally exposed online. The data was stored onto an Amazon S3 bucket controlled by the firm and found to contain over a terabyte of data. The database also included login credentials used by customers such as Dunkin’ Donuts, Nasdaq and California Courts.
