FBI working with Tallahassee Memorial after IT security event

The FBI is investigating an IT systems outage at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Florida. The hospital initially only accepted Level 1 trauma patients and canceled non-emergency surgeries and procedures. Progress has been made in managing the event, but surgeries and procedures continue to be canceled and rescheduled. The suspected cause of the outage is unknown. Ransomware attacks on healthcare organizations have been increasing, causing disruptions in healthcare delivery.
