Darktrace notes health, retail and energy cyberattack trends

Cybersecurity firm Darktrace has released reports on 2022 cyber-threat trends in the energy, healthcare, and retail sectors, revealing an increase in crypto-mining in the energy sector, data exfiltration in the healthcare sector and credential-based attacks across retail. Based on its AI technology’s observation, notable findings display significant rises in threats, emphasizing the growing need for AI-based behavioural analytics to tackle these security risks. The retail sector anticipates an increase in global security revenues to $12 billion by 2025.
