Health Risk: How a Medical Practice Exposed Details for 40,000 Patients
A data exposure in Cohen Bergman Klepper Romano Mds PC, a Long Island-based medical practice, resulted in the exposure of personal information relating to more than 42,000 patients. The medical detail has included patient observations of a patient from physicians, including blood pressure measurements and comments on patients’ reflexes. According to UpGuard’s Cyber Risk Team, the data exposure originated from a digital data repository left open for public access by the practice. The group added that it had also found physicians’ personal information among the files.
