Advocate Aurora Health has alerted patients in Illinois and Wisconsin of a potential data breach involving tracking pixels. These pixels transmitted patient data to third-party vendors, including IP address, appointment details, and personal communication. The health system has disabled the pixels and launched an internal investigation. While the exact number of affected patients is unknown, it could be as high as 3 million.
