Period tracking app Flo has introduced an anonymous mode, allowing users to access the app without sharing their personal information. Flo partnered with Cloudflare for this feature, which is currently available for iOS users and will be added to Android in October. The move comes amid concerns that women’s health data could be used against them in states where abortion is illegal. Meanwhile, LifePoint Health has announced a partnership with Google Cloud to use its Healthcare Data Engine, enabling the aggregation and analysis of patient information for better care delivery and decision-making. Additionally, the National Institutes of Health will invest $130m over four years to expand the use of AI in biomedical and behavioral research. The program aims to build reliable datasets and determine best practices to address bias and improve health equity.
