The badly handled data breaches of 2022
Several companies have poorly handled data breaches in 2022, including Nvidia, whose unwillingness to disclose details to the public after an extortion event left customers in the dark; DoorDash, who declined to answer many questions about the breach when approached by TechCrunch; Samsung, which deflected the breach by releasing a new privacy policy; LastPass, who, despite an egregious data breach, assured its customers that no action was needed; Revolut, Advanced, Twilio, and Rackspace also left customers uninformed after their breaches.
