Progressive Therapeutics allays telehealth security concerns with EHR integration

Progressive Therapeutics, a psychiatric care practice in Massachusetts, implemented telehealth back in 2010 for patients unable to attend in-person sessions. However, the practice needed a telehealth solution that went beyond HIPAA compliance to address security concerns. They found Azalea Health, a vendor that offered an EHR solution integrated with telehealth. Azalea’s platform provided enhanced security measures, convenient cloud-based access, and integration with payment and appointment scheduling features. The practice now averages 4,500 telehealth encounters per month and has not experienced any security lapses or data leaks since implementing the solution in 2013.
