Zocdoc says programming errors led to patient information exposure

Healthcare scheduling site Zocdoc has notified affected individuals and practices of a programming error that exposed patient information to providers in an unauthorized manner. Zocdoc stated that no misuse or unauthorized access to personal information occurred, but is providing affected patients with a year of identity theft protection. The incident affected approximately 7,600 users across the United States. Zocdoc assures that the vulnerabilities have been repaired and steps have been taken to enhance system security.
