Tens of thousands of patient records posted to dark web

Hackers have released extensive patient data from Leon Medical Centers in Miami and Nocona General Hospital in Texas in a possible extortion attempt. The data includes patients’ names, addresses, birthdays, and medical diagnoses. This type of release of medical data is uncommon and shows an increase in ransomware attacks in the healthcare industry.
