VMware Carbon Black’s healthcare users faced 239M attempted cyberattacks in 2020

A retrospective report by VMware Carbon Black found that there were 239.4 million attempted cyberattacks on its healthcare customers in 2020, with an average of 816 attempted attacks per endpoint. Ransomware “went mainstream” last year, with cybercriminals collaborating at an unprecedented scale. The company recommends implementing strong endpoint protection and system hardening measures in response to the rising threats.
