Vermont Governor Phil Scott has ordered the state Army National Guard’s Combined Cyber Response Team to help respond to a cyberattack against the University of Vermont Health Network. The National Guard will assist in ensuring thousands of end-user devices are free of malware or viruses. The attack on the health network disrupted services at six facilities in Vermont and upstate New York and came amid a wave of threats against hospitals across the US. The FBI has issued a warning about “increased and imminent” threats to hospital cybersecurity.
