The Australian Digital Health Agency is partnering with 42 healthcare organizations to expand secure messaging functionality across the country. The enhancements will allow clinicians to securely exchange messages in a standard format across different secure messaging platforms. This is part of the National Digital Health Strategy’s goal to enable secure provider-to-provider communication and eliminate paper-based messaging. The agency has also established a technical working group to co-design solutions and is implementing proof of concept projects to validate the approach.
