Imprivata, Microsoft unveil new cloud identity and access management tool

Imprivata has launched Imprivata Identity Governance, a technology that allows healthcare organizations to manage identity and access management using Microsoft Azure Active Directory. The solution helps ensure that the right users have appropriate access to on-premises and cloud applications, providing an audit trail for compliance purposes. The technology also enables provisioning, tracking, and de-provisioning of users in hybrid environments. Imprivata suggests that passwordless access can be achieved by combining this solution with Healthcare Seamless SSO, which has implications for e-prescribing.
