Why information security should be every hospital CEO’s No. 2 priority (at least right now)

Health systems need to prioritize information security in order to protect patient safety and meet social responsibilities. CEOs must recognize the importance of cybersecurity as a primary component of patient safety. However, CEOs often prioritize market share and growth over information security, and fear alone is not enough to convince them. CEOs must focus on mastering the fundamentals of security and retool their immediate needs to prioritize cybersecurity.
