Health sector tops latest OAIC breach report, yet again

The health sector was responsible for the highest number of data breaches in Australia for the fourth consecutive quarter, according to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The private health service provider sector reported 54 breaches out of a total of 262 notifications received between October and December 2018. The majority of breaches were caused by human error, with cyber incidents being the most common type of attack.
