Digital Health Review of the Year 2022

In 2022, the UK’s digital health sector faced a range of difficulties, from record-breaking heatwave-induced blackouts at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, to a cyberattack on NHS supplier Advanced. The role of Palantir’s controversial data handling for the NHS also came under scrutiny. However, it was not all negative; the creation of 42 Integrated Care Systems came into effect with the new Health and Social Care Act and Manchester NHS Foundation Trust successfully implemented an Epic project across all 10 of its hospitals.
