Epic gains new EHR clients as Intermountain and UPMC move from Cerner

Intermountain Healthcare and UPMC have announced they will implement Epic’s electronic health records system over the next few years. The transition is expected to streamline care delivery, facilitate cost savings, and increase satisfaction among physicians and caregivers. Intermountain plans to complete its transition across 33 hospitals and 385 clinics by end-2025, while UPMC aims to complete the move of its 6 million digital patient records by mid-2026.
