HITRUST has launched a certification program for the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, allowing hospitals and health systems to ensure security compliance. The certification program harmonizes multiple industry-relevant requirements and provides a single framework for healthcare organizations to assess their security posture and build a cybersecurity program that aligns with the goals of the NIST Framework. The program also offers compliance ratings and guidance for implementing the NIST Framework. HITRUST CSF assessments are being used to communicate information privacy and security programs to boards of directors.
