Sutter Health back online after 24 hours of systemwide EHR outage

Sutter Health experienced a more than day-long outage of its Epic EHR and internal communications systems due to a fire suppression system activation in one of its data centers. The outage impacted all 24 hospitals in the California-based health system, but patient care was not significantly disrupted thanks to emergency planning procedures. All systems are now back online.
