Dartmouth: Hospitals must ramp up security for sensors, body area networks, mHealth apps
Mobile health technologies have the potential to improve healthcare quality, increase access to healthcare, reduce costs, and enhance public health. However, these technologies also raise concerns about privacy and security. Researchers at Dartmouth College and other universities have identified several challenges related to data sharing, access control, confidentiality, and security that need to be addressed in order to fully realize the benefits of mobile health technologies.
