Where healthcare CIOs are allocating their IT spend now

According to a new report by Bain & Company and KLAS Research, 80% of healthcare IT leaders have increased their tech investments over the past year to overcome rising costs and labor shortages, with 75% expecting to do so again next year. Priorities include revenue cycle management, clinical workflow optimization, patient engagement, and cybersecurity. Another finding revealed that AI and automation are viewed favorably, but only 6% have a generative AI strategy in place, with half planning to develop one.
