Healthcare Supply Chain Attacks Raise Cyber Security Alarm

The healthcare sector is a key target for cybercriminals, particularly smaller companies and clinics which have less stringent security measures. While the total number of breaches fell by 6% in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, experts predict total breaches for the year will continue to surpass pre-pandemic levels. The increasing targeting of third-party vendors in the healthcare supply chain also opens up further vulnerabilities.
