More docs questioning benefits of ACA, EHRs
Physicians in the US are concerned about the future of healthcare. Most believe that electronic health records (EHRs) and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will negatively impact the quality of patient care, and almost two-thirds anticipate that the quality of healthcare will worsen over the next five years. These distractions have diminished physicians’ optimism around their ability to deliver quality care and remain viable, profitable practices. This survey was conducted by athenahealth and Sermo and collected responses from 500 physicians.
