Google Health to be shuttered

Google has confirmed that it will be shutting down its Google Health service from January 1st, 2012. The service, which aims to help users organize and access their personal healthcare and wellness information, has failed to attract the number of users that Google had hoped for. The site will remain active until January 1st, 2012, and users will be able to retrieve their data for a year after that. Google is committed to allowing users to maintain control of their data and move it out of Google’s services at any time.
