Ponemon: Business continuity management vital for data breach recovery
A study sponsored by IBM and conducted by the Ponemon Institute found that companies using business continuity management (BCM) and disaster recovery services recover more quickly from data breaches. The study also revealed that companies employing a BCM program with disaster recovery automation and orchestration saw a 39.5 percent reduction in the average cost per day of a data breach. BCM involvement also reduced the total average time to identify and contain a data breach incident by 78 days.
