IBM Watson takes on cybersecurity with launch of beta initiative that includes healthcare

IBM Security is launching a beta effort with 40 organisations including healthcare, education, finance and other sectors to test Watson’s capability in protecting them against cybercrime. Watson for Cyber Security uses machine learning and natural language processing to help security analysts make better decisions from vast amounts of data. IBM expects adoption of cognitive security technologies to increase threefold over the next three years. The aim is for Watson to understand the unique language of security and help analysts make better decisions from structured and unstructured data.
