Surgery ‘well suited’ for social media
Two surgeons from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences are advocating for the use of social media by surgeons to share accurate information with trainees and patients. They stress the importance of understanding the potential security and legal implications of using social media, but believe that it can greatly enhance communication and education in the medical field. They suggest that social media is particularly well-suited for surgery due to its visual nature and ability to easily share audio and video content.
