Montefiore Medical Center in New York has developed a clinical analytics system called Clinical Looking Glass (CLG), which has been used to improve the quality and efficiency of care. Unlike other analytics systems, CLG is readily accessible to doctors, and has been trained to analyse electronic medical records to interpret the collective effectiveness of patient safety measures. Montefiore’s Clinical IT R&D vice president, Eran Bellin, suggests that no other system could replicate CLG’s temporal relationship capabilities.
