As hackers become more destructive, security needs an all-hands approach
Healthcare organizations were the main target for hackers in 2016, with 88% of attacks. However, this year cyber attacks have become more widespread. Stuart Madnick, an information technology professor at MIT, highlighted the most dangerous cyber threats, such as government shutdowns, electrical grid disruptions, and physical attacks on hospitals. He emphasized that organizations need to take responsibility for their own cybersecurity and that security is not just a technology issue, but requires involvement from the whole organization.
