As digitalisation and cyber threats rise, the need for cybersecurity personnel in India is growing. Staffing firm TeamLease cited over 1.39 million cybersecurity incidents in India in 2022, with ransomware making up 23% of attacks on manufacturing companies. As of May 2023, approximately 40,000 jobs were open in the cybersecurity sector, but the demand-supply gap was growing at 30%. Key jobs in the industry range from IT auditors, network security engineers, to computer forensics analysts.
