British Airways cyberattack: What we know so far

Zellis, a payroll provider used by hundreds of firms in the UK, has confirmed that eight of its clients were affected by a cyberattack reportedly carried out by Russian gang Clop. Among those impacted were British Airways and Boots, both of which had employee data compromised due to a vulnerability in a third-party tool called MoveIT. The hackers typically extort businesses with ransomware attacks and leak stolen data on the dark web if their demands are not met.
