Cyber-security: How safe is your organisation?

The Health Informatics Service (THIS), the only NHS informatics service to hold three ISO standards related to cyber security, has helped protect against numerous cyber-attacks. Many have targeted Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, where THIS is based. A ransomware attack on an NHS IT provider, whose identity is not disclosed, recently highlighted the threat level. Despite this, THIS suggests the impact of cyber-attacks is reduced with a good “security posture” and incident response strategy.
