The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) is highly vulnerable to cyber attacks due to its use of outdated software, new research from Check Point has warned. The study found that Internet of Things devices were particularly at risk, with ultrasound devices using the Windows 2000 operating system identified as especially weak as it no longer receives updates. Check Point was able to hack the software on these devices in three separate successful attacks, using just an old, known vulnerability.
