How to provide integrated care systems with the best cybersecurity

Hospitals are prime targets for ransomware attacks due to their constant operation, life-and-death stakes, and outdated systems. Last year, 34% of healthcare organisations were hit by ransomware. The UK’s NHS is implementing 42 new Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) that will improve collaboration and patient outcomes, but will also increase cyber vulnerabilities. To combat this, the NHS is emphasising cyber defence and digitisation, including staff training, using Endpoint Detection and Response tools and adopting Managed Detection and Response services.
