‘DarkOverLord’ ransomware accounts for nearly 30 percent of health data breaches in July

Nearly 30% of the 39 data breaches in July were ransomware attacks by cybercriminals, with one hacker known as TheDarkOverLord being responsible for many of them. The average time it took for attacks to be reported was two years. Protenus CEO Robert Lord said that the high number and variety of attacks in healthcare organizations suggests that this trend will continue.
