Investigation into Wolverhampton NHS staff sleeping in patient’s bed

The Black Country Healthcare Trust is launching an investigation after CCTV footage showed hospital workers at Penn Hospital sleeping in a patient’s bed and leaving him on the floor. The footage also showed the patient being roughly treated by three staff members. West Midlands Police reported that the patient was allegedly assaulted at the hospital. The trust’s deputy chief executive said he was considering leaving the trust due to staff misconduct.
