Hollywood Presbyterian gives in to hackers, pays $17,000 ransom to regain control over systems

Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center has paid hackers $17,000 to regain control of their computer systems after a ransomware attack locked them out of their networks. The CEO stated that paying the ransom was the quickest way to restore their systems and that there is no evidence that any patient data was accessed.
