Centene says employee error led to missing hard drives, company still searching for records

Health insurer Centene has admitted that the loss of six hard drives containing the personal health information of 950,000 beneficiaries was due to an employee error. The company does not expect the incident to have a significant impact on its future growth opportunities, financial position, cash flow or results of operations. Centene is currently in the process of a $6.8 billion merger with Health Net.
