Two-factor authentication on the rise, small hospitals fall short, ONC says

Less than half of US hospitals have the capability to support two-factor authentication, which is a low-cost and effective way to meet HIPAA standards. While adoption rates have increased, cybersecurity experts argue that they are still too low given the rise in healthcare data breaches. Some states, such as Ohio, have seen high adoption rates, while others like Montana and North Dakota have seen low rates.
